I didn't miss the point. My point is just because a school changes


conferences, doesn't automatically mean there is an increase in attendance. I don't believe Louisville, Pitt, and/or Syracuse saw a significant increase in attendance when they joined the ACC. At least to the point where the change in conference is the main justification for the bump in attendance. Heck the same could probably be said when BC, Miami, and VT left the Big East for the ACC.

UConn would see a bump with the change in conference, but not enough to where the school could say that 40K of their fans wants tickets to the game. The majority of UConn's "bump" would come from visiting fans. Right now the Big Ten has one of the largest (maybe even the largest) percentage of alumni living in the NYC metro area. So if UConn has any shot of consistently selling out the state's stadium, then it will probably come from Big Ten fans; not ACC fans.
